Questions about God.
Most people don’t ask questions about God. Some don’t care. Some are
too busy. Some feel their questions are already answered. Some feel there are no answers. Many instead ask questions
of God: Why is this happening to me? Can you do this for me?
Some think there is no God, no one God, absolute, Creator of the Universe, to ask questions about.

Do you want to think about God?
Billions of people pray to God. Many pray every day, or several times a day.
But few really think much about the God they worship. Few take the time to ask about
what He might really be like. Most believe, and have been told, that they cannot think about
Him. That it is impossible to do so. Or that it is wrong to do so, that
they should just take it on faith.. Or that it is for others to do so.
It is not impossible. It is not wrong. And as for others, it is up to them if they want to think about Him or not.
But do you
want to? Or would you rather take it on faith? Thinking about
God can change your life, or at least how you look at it. It can change how you feel about what
you’ve done. It can change how you feel about those you know. It can change how you want
to spend the rest of your life. It can change everything.
And are you prepared for this? Do you want this? Maybe you do just want to take it on faith If so, do not read this. If you are happy with
your life as it is, do not read this. Oh, maybe it won’t change things
for you. But maybe it will. Who can tell? Why take the chance?
These are after all, only words. They cannot of themselves take you to the edge of the
dreaming mind. But perhaps you’ve already been there, and just need an explanation of
what you saw. Or perhaps that is what you’ve been seeking, as you plod through the
dull and somehow empty routine of your life. Or perhaps as you ply yourself with drugs.
These are some of the questions I have asked, and some of the answers I have found. Oh,
I use ‘them'and ‘you,’ but these answers are just what I have found.
Others have certainly found some of these answers before me. Some I have found out for
myself, but I make no claim for originality. As far as I am concerned, anyone who wants to claim
credit for any of it may do so. In fact I claim that everyone, that
you, already knows these things. I am just bringing it to their, and your, attention.
I have written this.

"In dwelling, be close to the land. In meditation, go deep in the heart. In dealing with others,
be gentle and kind. In speech, be true. In ruling, be just. In daily life, be competent. In action, be aware of the time and
the season." - Lao Tzu
Commentary:
I often find myself obsessing on things which don't
really matter. This passage, taken from "Tao Te Ching," reminds me that the basic principles of life can and should
be simple.
